Komatsu and Dimaag Debut Mobile Megawatt Charging at BAUMA 2025
Revolutionize
At BAUMA 2025 in Munich, Komatsu and Dimaag will unveil a breakthrough in heavy equipment electrification—the Mobile Megawatt Charging System (MWCS). A first for the industry, this innovative system enables on-site high-power charging for off-road applications, eliminating downtime caused by returning to fixed charging stations.
Catch the live debut at Hall C6, Messe München, from April 7-13, 2025.
Developed by Silicon Valley-based Dimaag, the MWCS features a compact, high-efficiency DC-DC converter and a durable Energy Storage System (ESS) with a long lifecycle and high discharge rate. With charging capabilities scalable from 1MW to 6MW, and integrated advanced thermal management, it offers unmatched safety and performance under high loads. Designed for mobility, the system includes 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering to tackle tight and rugged terrain with ease.
“Partnering with Komatsu allows us to bring our advanced electrification technology to the forefront of the construction industry,” said Ian Wright, VP Engineering at Dimaag and Tesla co-founder. “Our MWCS is engineered to exceed the performance of large diesel engines while significantly reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).”
Taisuke Kusaba, Senior Executive Officer and CTO at Komatsu, added, “Through our collaboration with Dimaag, we aim to accelerate the shift to electric construction equipment and work toward our 2050 carbon neutrality goal.”
