Karnika E. Yashwant, widely known as KEY, has been elected to the Congress of Liberland—marking a pivotal milestone in his already trailblazing career. From becoming India’s youngest CEO at 16 to steering global blockchain ventures through his company KEY Difference, KEY now steps into the political spotlight of the world’s first decentralized sovereign state.

Founded in 2015 on unclaimed land between Croatia and Serbia, Liberland champions personal freedom, voluntary governance, and blockchain-based administration. With over 700,000 citizenship applications, it has evolved from a bold idea to a global movement for modern governance.

KEY’s election platform focuses on accelerating citizenship processes, expanding international alliances, and developing a sustainable blockchain-driven economy. His first public appearance as Congressman will be at the Blockchain Life Forum in Moscow on April 23, alongside Liberland’s President, Vit Jedlička.

KEY believes Liberland is more than a concept—it’s the ultimate testbed for systems that empower rather than control. “When I employed 300 people as a teenager, I realized systems can either liberate or dominate. Liberland is our chance to get it right,” he said.

A self-made entrepreneur since the age of 14, KEY has always asked, “Why not?” That same curiosity now fuels his mission to build a nation rooted in freedom, transparency, and individual sovereignty. “Most businesses struggle to apply blockchain to one process. We’re applying it to an entire country,” he noted.

As the world watches this groundbreaking political experiment, all eyes are on the visionary who’s turning radical ideals into real-world frameworks. For more insights from KEY and his roadmap for Liberland, subscribe to his Beehiiv newsletter or connect with him on LinkedIn.
